BEIJING, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- China's first state key laboratory of media convergence production technology and systems was launched at Xinhua News Agency Wednesday.

The laboratory, constructed by Xinhua, targets the need for development in the all-media era with advanced technologies to promote media convergence.

With a focus on the use of AI in news production, the laboratory emphasizes research on basic theories and innovations of key technologies concerning media convergence in the directions of trans-media information analysis and human-computer collaboration, focusing on complicated issues.

Dedicated to integrating cutting-edge technologies in the whole process of news collection, production, distribution, receiving and feedback, Xinhua has developed "Media Brain," Live Cloud, satellite news and AI news anchor in recent years. ■
