HANGZHOU, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- The 3rd West Lake International Documentary Festival (IDF) concluded Sunday in east China's Zhejiang Province.

Five documentaries won awards at the D2O Nomination Competition, the main section of the IDF 2019, which attracted 632 submissions including feature-length documentaries, short documentaries and documentary series from 61 countries and regions.

The 3rd IDF also included screenings and forums, as well as training sessions by international filmmakers with the aim to promote the quality and professionalism of documentary-making in China.

This year the festival was held on the banks of the West Lake in the city of Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang from Oct. 18 to 20.
