WUHAN, July 8 (Xinhua) -- The 2018 Yi Chang International Marathon, to start on November 4, was open for registration on Saturday.

According to the organizing committee, this year's competition includes four events, namely full marathon, half marathon, 10 km run and mini marathon. Only the first 20,000 registered runners could have the opportunity to participate in the race. To be part of it, the public can register through official website, official Wechat account or official APP.

During the race, there will also be special activities including flag passing and music refilling stand.

Liu Weiling, Deputy Mayor of Yi Chang, sent warm welcome to runners around the globe on the press conference.

Yi Chang, known for the Three Gorges Dam, is located in the western Hubei province, China. Inaugurated in 2016, the Yi Chang International Marathon has attracted a total of more than 40,000 runners.
