KUNDUZ, Afghanistan, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Three Taliban militants including a key commander lost their lives in a bomb blast that rocked a Taliban center in Imam Sahib district of northern Afghanistan's Kunduz province on Tuesday, said a villager on condition of anonymity.

"A group of Taliban militants were busy in making mine in Gunbad village of Imam Sahib district today afternoon when the explosive material exploded accidentally killing three including key commander Mullah Elham on the spot and injuring two others," the villager told Xinhua.

The governor of Imam Sahib district Mahboubullah Sayedi has also confirmed the incident but failed to provide details.

Taliban militants who are active in Imam Sahib district are yet to make comment on the report.
