KIEV, April 12 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed and 10 others were injured in a road accident in Ukraine's southern Odessa region Wednesday, local authorities said Thursday.

A car rammed into a minibus on a regional highway near the village of Liski, killing a minibus passenger on the spot and injuring 10 others, the Odessa regional police said.

According to the National Police of Ukraine, the number of road accidents decreased by 16 percent in the first two months of 2018 due to stricter traffic rules.

In January and February, 363 people were killed and over 3,700 injured in 21,500 road accidents.
